Large format

Large format panels: 5.27 m² of elevation, one joint instead of four.

The largest single panel we cast is 3230 × 1630 mm. On an elevation that changes the joint count, the fixing count and the way the wall reads at a distance.

A 3230 × 1630 mm panel covers 5.27 m². Replacing 1200 × 600 mm modules with this format cuts the number of panels by roughly 85% for the same area, which removes most vertical joints and reduces brackets, anchors and alignment labour. The panel is 20 mm thick and weighs about 42 kg/m².

What the format changes

Indicative comparison for 100 m² of elevation
ModulePanelsPanel area
1200 × 600 mm≈ 1390.72 m²
1600 × 800 mm≈ 781.28 m²
3230 × 1630 mm≈ 195.27 m²

Fewer joints is not only an aesthetic argument. Every joint is a line that has to be set out, sealed or baffled, and kept straight over a storey height. At 5.27 m² per panel the setting-out tolerance is concentrated in a fraction of the lines, and the elevation reads as one surface rather than a grid.

What changes on site

We pack panels on edge in purpose-built stillages and mark each piece against the layout drawing. On a project with a radius, the curved pieces are dry-fitted against their neighbours before packing.

Questions buyers ask

Who supplies 3.2 by 1.6 metre stone facade panels?
NKSTONE casts them at 3230 × 1630 mm in Yunfu, Guangdong, in 20 mm thickness. The same format is used for interior wall cladding and for curved work formed in a mould.
How heavy is one panel?
About 220 kg per 3230 × 1630 mm panel at 42 kg/m². That is a mechanical lift, and it sets the access and fixing method for the job.
Can large panels be used on a curved wall?
Yes, but the panel is formed to the radius in a mould rather than bent on site. Curved pieces run to 10 m in a single length where transport allows.
